16x16 Small works call for entry!
« on: April 15, 2014, 08:13:35 PM »
Were excited to offer our small works open call for entry!

Previously we offered 12x12 and 18x18 shows! Were mixing it up a bit this time at 16x16
Previously we sold over 20 works of art in a past small work show, and nows the time to do it again!

This is our favorite fundraiser for artdc.org!

In this all-inclusive show, artists are invited to submit art limited to 16x16 inches! Each 16x16 space in the show will have a $14 hanging fee.

Submit work including, but not limited to, photography, painting, mixed media, sculpture, lead, ceramics, glass, and more.

Find details on the 2010 12x12" here: http://artdc.org/forum/index.php?topic=14803.0

This show has a 0% commission for sales in the gallery. All transactions for this show are direct to the artist! If you sell something and value the experience, feel free to pay us whatever commission you think is fair! No price limit!

The 16 x 16 will coordinate with the Gateway Open Studio Tour.

For those who wish to pre-register, use the Square Up payment portal, then bring your receipt to the install at the gallery. Work must be delivered by the artist or agent authorized to sign an artist agreement.

Make sure you get a spot, and pre-register here.

Sever people have asked, so to clarify, the works dont have to actually be 16x16 . They can be 16x16 or smaller. And  they dont have to be square either! :)

If the artwork itself is 16x16 & the frame exceeds that by a few inches, will that still meet the criteria?

Thanks

Uh..  the De-install date is showing as "De-Install Sunday, June 1, 2013 at 11 a.m."

I was confused at first, but I see that June 1 is on a Sunday this year.  So the date is right, but the year is wrong...?

Right?

De-Install Sunday June 1, 2014 at 11 AM.

Sorry for the delay Rosemary. Thanks for asking. Wed really like people to stay in the 16x16 limits! Its not the 18x18 show. That said, Im not going to kick anyones but if they are over a bit! But I will say for the integrity of the look of the show as a whole, it doesnt look right, if the entire show fits with in 16x16, and then one artists stands out with larger work.  Thats happened in the past it it looks funky. Some people will be smaller, the work doesnt have to be square, but with in reason I would ask that everyone try hard to stay around or at the limited size!  I think 2 inches beyond is a bit much.
