Well here we are on site doing our first shifts and we got our first look at "the box".

16x16 and rather dark. There appears to be an air vent in there and I hope to the Gods that it works...otherwise we have a sweat lodge.

The lighting issues can be resolved to make it a working space but we may need more than our alotted 200W power draw.

No-one said this was going to be easy.

Onward.......

You could go with a 2001: A Space Odyssey theme. The white walls will make the most of what little light you are allowed. Though I imagine those space suits could potentially be a bit hot. Maybe you could dress up as HAL instead.

Paul, I specified a separate circuit for you--you have 2000 watts.  I will also make sure the air handler above your space is turned on.  it may be a bit noisy, but you'll be cool if you have a vent.

Barry you are a gift from above...2000W!?

I'm calling in a punk band to set up and play while I work in the four foot space between the inside counter and the door!

while it's Aromatic 2009 it's also the 10th anniversary, hence the logo with the big 10 on it

Paul - are you caught up in Artomatic frenzy now with building your shop or is there a chance of getting new ink before opening?

I decided to go with the third floor because you're there, so you'd better be doing something fantastic.

We took a simple approach this year, and stood back at the end of the evening to say " wow...it looks like a tattoo parlor"

The focus will be the clients, and that's as it should be.
