Thanks for putting the show together--it's a really nice space and I look forward to more seeing more shows.  It was a good crowd and I'm a huge fan of that disco mirror pole.

Although I'm aware of the incongruity of posting pocket-sized-point-and-shoot-camera photos of a photography show here are some anyway.  (These and some others are on Flicker -- my first set of uploads there!  Just click on a photo.)

The artdc.org gallery with the surrounding Lustine Center

Some gallery visitors (the Disco Pole is on the left)

I then became obsessed with taking photos via the mirrored Disco Pole.  People began to wonder just what the hell I was doing anyway...

Here are some examples

I don't remember seeing any children at the opening but when reviewing the Disco Pole photos I noticed this child

[ Was he/she really there in the room?  Or maybe in the pole?!  Was it the "Spirit" of the Disco Pole, forever watching over Chevy deals?  Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of Disco Poles?  The Shadow knows... ]

...ahem.  It appeared to be a successful opening.  Lots of visitors.  Fine photography.  [ And that Disco Pole...]

I watched your fascination with the disco pole, the photos shots are great, what an interesting discovery.

Tom, I didn't know you took photos via the disco pole. That thing rocks. Perhaps some "dancers" could make good use of that pole someday...

I took a few photos too.

Thanks so much for adding the pictures Amy.  It was a seriously positive event.  I'm so pleased with everyone's reactions!  I look forward to the next event!  We have a tremendous opportunity here, and it still hasn't sunk in yet!  There's space to show!
