This started as a project to map the local DC metro area studios that I know of. With 8 or so points on the map I liked the look of things and thought to myself, It could be bigger! It could be better. So I've added galleries and art centers. We can include performance venues and museums! Let's build this together. You can log in and add markers. Best yet, you can edit the information that you add as you go.

Rock and roll with it. I'm creating an artist's category now. Either email them to me or visit the map and do it there...

I think it would be great if ArtDC.Org members could have the same for our studios.

Excellent. That is very possible. And things are adaptable. So as the need grows I'll create more categories and move markers as need be. If you select the legend, you can actually select or deselect different categories so only studios show, or only galleries show.

Keep the ideas and locations comming!

You're welcome! Let's all help it grow by adding our own personal locations. Any galleries that aren't on the list. Artist Home Studios or Public studios. If we need to add a category, do let me know!

Hey Jessie -- the map is cool! I want to add a comment to Alchemy's location but seem to be caught in some loop where it won't accept my login info because it's already been taken. However, I use the same login to get into ArtDC's site. Help please!

The second I saw you log in I added you to the map! You're on it now! All I can suggest is the map software uses a different log in, so you have to register there to add information. Please pass on the word and let artist's know they can list their home studios too!

I'll be glad to add you. For those interested in the future, you can register at the community walk site, visit the map and add information your self! That's the great thing about this map. It's accessible by the community!
