From January until April 2010, Students in Free Enterprise George Washington University will host a series of workshops as their
Picture your Future project, aimed to help artists market their art.
Students In Free Enterprise George Washington University is a student driven organization that strives to make a difference in the local and global community through stimulating, implementing, and teaching the principles of free enterprise. It is a chapter of the international organization Students In Free Enterprise that is active in 40 countries.
Picture your Future is a series of workshops that gives artists from the DC metro area the business skills they need to successfully market their art in the current economy. During the workshops, experienced professionals will give guest-lectures to share their tips and tricks related to art and business. Topics covered include communication skills, marketing and promotion, digital media, pricing and book-keeping and customer relations.
The workshops will take place once in two weeks, on Thursday nights from 8pm-10pm. Currenlty, the following sessions are planned (to be held at the GW campus)

Feb. 4 Fundraising
Feb. 18 Pricing your art
Mar. 4 Keeping track of payments
Mar. 25 Maintaining customer relations
