Lets build a list of existing studios. Where are all of the existing art studios in DC, VA, and MD. Let's develop a network of creative art spaces. There are a few listed here: http://artdc.org/forum/index.php?topic=3393.0 What open studios do you visit?

The Washington Studio School has an "atelier" -- a large room which 7 or 8 artists share.

It is a hybrid personal studio AND gallery, hence the moniker "Picturexhibit Studio Gallery".

I have brought the white-walled, track-lit gallery concept to my studio. While at most times it serves as my personal creative space with all the typically-accompanying art detritus, on short notice I can convert it to a sleek, modern gallery just by removing a few pieces of furniture.

Hopefully the photos I will shortly put online will give a clearer idea of what I have created.
