Okay, so I've never been to a "rave", or even Manchester, or had a long drug-binge weekend.

Two of those statements are true. Your pieces are exactly like that.

I only made one but it does include something from every scrap submitted. I haven't thought of a title yet. There were some interesting sub-assemblies along the way that brought a title to mind. Looking at the final result I'm still trying to figure out what it all means.

Great work everyone! I'd like to see a psychoanalyst comment on these pieces.

SW-Thanks and yes, I think we definitely have enough material for a show. It'd be nice to find a venue where we could show everything generated from the project.

BTW, did everyone upload to the original link? Because Robert mentioned something about Jesse setting up something for the uploads, but I didn't see any follow up on that.

Yeah. I'm impressed. I count 12 images. That's enough for a wall. Especially since they are 10" x 10" .. I think there should be another few repitions of this with shorter time frames, and pick the best work.. It would be great to have a pool of finished images to work with..

And, pick the best work? Who exactly would do that and based on what? If I'd known or thought that this would be a "juried" show, then I probably would not have participated. Would be ideal to have had all the details in place FIRST that way there's no issue about who/what/when/where/why.

12 images might not be enough for a show on it's own.
At the least a Nice Clean thread with all images and their creator's names should be posted.
Maybe this is the kind of thing that should exist on-line only.

If 12 isnt enough, why would you need someone/people to select down the number of works? Id just run this again and get more works. Give people a chance to do a second piece or others to participate with different scraps. (Just an involved comment)

I liked BarryS' early on comment that "The project is like a lens used to examine different creative processes and pathways." I like the on-line display but agree that we should do it a few more times and get more participation. There seems to be several people stoked to participate who didn't get in in time for this round.

I agree with rrebold's comment. Let's keep doing it.
The only reason you'd need to pick is if we so this several times and there are tons of entries.
If it's online show them all. If brick and morter, there may not be room for everything.

Look at post a secret for example. He doesn't show everything.

Certainly there would seem to be room for a curator in the future or maybe more than one curator. The reality with that or even with the Post Secret editor is that the show can become as much about the curator's style, which could be great....

01. My contributions have already been done as well. Check out my Gallery under "Layers Project". No worries about the slight--I never posted them in this thread.

02. I think it's kinda cruddy to exclude people who have contributed "scraps" in any show (virtual or otherwise). These artists bought in early on, and their finished work--however flawed or brilliant--is part of the overall process of project. Also, were someone excluded by a jury, it would be a fair expectation for works containing their donated materials to also not be shown. This is a hot mess none of us need to wade into.

03. I was always under the impression that we were looking for a gallery or storefront show for this project.

04. All that said, I'm also down for another round of this project--it was a lot of fun, and a great exercise.
