To upload in the gallery, please read these instructions, and if you need help, don't hesitate to contact me.

First create your own album!

-Log in
-Post at least once in the forum. Artdc.org is about networking and interaction. We're not trying to compete with image hosting sites. Adding to the forum will add to your quota!
-Visit the gallery www.artdc.org/gallery/
-Click Create / Order Albums
-Click Create New
-Rename the album in the lower box
-Submit

-After you've registered on Artdc.org
-(you must be logged in to an activated account go any further)
-Post about your self in the Artist's board
-Visit the forum index.
-Click the gallery link on the side bar
-Click 'upload files' (you must be logged in).
-Select the files to upload.
-enter information about your files.
-at this point you select which album you want to upload into (for each file).

Limit of 150kb per image at 1000 x 1000 pixels
Limit of 2mb for .mp3 or movie files. (if you are a performance artist and need more space in your quota, contact us).
Movie files must be .mov or .avi, (not .mp4)

If you are Mac user, please read this.

If you have problems, contact us through the email form on the home page, or if you're logged in, PM me through my profile.

When you've completed creating your own album, upload as before, how ever, when you enter information about each file, you must select your own personal album over the other public albums!

The step that seems to trip people up is:

" select which album you want to upload into (for each file). "

To understand, there are personal albums and public albums. If you've created a personal album, that's the first in the list, and a few members don't read the line above, and place images there instead of artomatic's public albums. Only the creator of the personal album can post in it. The public albums are free to most registered users. To avoid confusion, make sure you select where you want each file to go.

The venues are free to view all of our online ablums, but the majority of their time will be spent in the artomatic folders, so I would suggest posting your 3 images there too, and if you have more, place them in your personal ablums.

Then visit this link to upload images. But, you must be logged in, or the previous link will not work!

As for the actual images, please don't post the same images in multiple albums.

I'm loged-in , and have posted a few times. And have tried the "visually impared" link and it said "Error
You don't have permission to perform this operation." do i have to be a patron member ? or is there another trick i can try?

Strange. It should work. Let me do some testing and get back to you. I haven’t uploaded in the gallery in a while. In a bit we will be performing some overhauls to the gallery site so things may change!

Yep, I just tried, and the system is working. Did you create an album first? Try uploading files that are optimized for the web, don’t use the url upload. Email me, and if you are still having problems, I can log in as you, and help you solve the problem.

Well now I have a bigger problem, Now when i go to The website [Not loged In] I can see the Gallery. But now, when I [Long In] i see No gallery when i click on the Gallery link ??? lol,

If not, one thing that helps with any site is to empty your cache and cookies.

"cache and cookies." trick did not work. tried that already, and retried it. However i can now see a basic viewing of the page by turning off my "Page Style" using FireFox. I can now see the Links i wont with No Styles. lol

I tryed using my PC my wifes MAC and a PC at work and still the same problem. Also tryed Internet Exsploryer and Safari with no sucsess.

The normal Gallery link at the top of each page does not work for me. I still get a Blank page mostly, However the page link "link" in this quote fixes all my problems and i can see the Gallery with no issues.

Yeah, I can see you uploaded images. They are visible. It looks like there's some sort of issue, maybe browser, maybe firewall related that doesn't like the code in that page. I've tested both PC and Mac and it works on my end. Can you white list artdc.org in your computer's settings?

The old gallery script has been replaced. It was necessary to start fresh. So we would love it if you could create a new album and re-upload your images.
That said, if you no longer have your files on your computer, email me by 2/22/13, and we can temporarily re-open the old script.
