The Paintings for Pain project/fundraiser pairs six artists with individuals from the Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) community to create paintings based on their experiences. In the first-of-its-kind event for the Regional Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association (RSDSA), the paintings will be shown on September 7, 2013 at the VisArts Gallery in Rockville, MD. Afterwards, the paintings will be donated to selected hospitals and treatment centers around the world that specialize in care for individuals with CRPS. I was honored to be invited and paired with a teen who acquired CRPS after an injury. After the fundraiser, my painting "There Are Days" will become part of the Arts in Health collection at Monash Medical Centre in Victoria, Australia.

I was over at Adah Rose’s gallery. I saw your work there, and was knocked out. The depth and luminosity can not be conveyed by the photographs of your work.

The opening last night at Adah Rose's was great--wonderful conversations! I always learn something new about my work at receptions. Thanks, Terry, for coming by!

Saturday, October 19 from 6:30-8:30pm is the reception for the larger work from Mathematics, Maps, and Myths at Studio 1469.

It's a nice space--hope you can drop in!

I have moved into my new space at Artists & Makers Studios http://artistsandmakersstudios.com/ and am starting to make new work. I'm so excited! There will be a grand opening. Hope you can come by and see me and the 39 other creatives there. I'm in Section B, Studio 20.
