Volunteer substitutes & switches - How To
« on: April 06, 2009, 09:46:08 AM »
Stephanie is the volunteer coordinator and can be reached at volunteer@artomatic.org

So. You signed up for a shift and you talked your brother in law into covering it. What do you need to do to make sure you get credit for filling your shift?

Simple, when your brother-in-law shows up for your shift, he should sign in with his real name AND write on the login book that he is subbing for you and write your name LEGIBLY so that you will get credit for your shift.

If you are afraid that he didn't sign in properly, you can drop Stephanie an email. HOWEVER, be aware that there's a different Gallery Manager for each shift and that Stephanie will be getting a zillion emails a day so don't email her ahead of time to tell her you're sending a sub, because then she'll just have to track down the GM and tell them at the start of your shift. That should be your sub's responsibility, not hers :-)

Before the event starts, Stephanie may pop in here and tell you something different, but for now this is my advice to you.

You are responsible for finding your own subs or rescheduling your shift if you can't attend. You are responsible for making sure your sub shows up and covers your shift.

You may switch shifts with another artist without changing anything in the computer - just be sure that each of you signs in legibly and notes who you are subbing for.

Hope that helps!
