The artdc gallery is pleased to present our August exhibition:

The Common Element
Glass and sculpture

Featuring work from the artists at:
DC Glass Works and Sculpture Studios
The Washington Glass School

August 15- September 5, 2009
Opening reception: August 15th 4-6pm

An exhibit of glass artwork from artists of the Washington Glass School and DC GlassWorks are featured in a show that links the two DC-area glass institutions: The Common Element. See the collaborative spirit of the two studios is celebrated in this groundbreaking art show.

We just installed the show, and I have to say that it looks phenomenal . You need to see this exhibition! From affordable to attainable! Each work is simply amazing. Tell you friends.

We need a few volunteers on August 22nd 6pm-10pm, we're going to host a concert at the gallery.
The music will take place infront of the gallery, and we'd like to have a few people to watch the glass which is quite fragile by nature.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I highly encourage everyone to come to the opening. Though, if you can't make it, we're going to have a tremendous concert at the space the following Saturday from 7 to 10:00pm. Come early to see the art, and stay to see the music in a warm august evening.
